Move & Explore is built around one simple idea: parents and children grow stronger side by side.
While children take part in structured forest school sessions, parents join an inclusive outdoor fitness class run simultaneously, close enough for reassurance, independent enough for growth. Both sessions are purposeful, active, and designed to support long-term physical and emotional wellbeing.

Classes focus on strength, functional fitness, cardiovascular health, and mobility, all scalable to your level. Sessions reduce stress, boost energy, and create genuine community connection.
By removing the childcare barrier, parents can prioritise their health without guilt. And when children see their parent choosing movement and self-care, it becomes a powerful lifelong example.

Forest school sessions encourage climbing, balancing, lifting, building, and creative outdoor play. Children develop coordination, resilience, teamwork, and confidence through supported exploration in nature.
Early positive experiences of outdoor movement are strongly linked to higher physical activity in adulthood.

Parents leave energised.
Children gain independence.
Families build healthy habits together.
Community connection grows.
This is not babysitting and it’s not just a fitness class.
It’s a shared investment in lifelong wellbeing.
Parents/carers told us:
“I want to exercise but I don’t have childcare.”
“I feel guilty taking time for myself.”
“My child needs more outdoor time.”
“Classes don’t fit around family life.”
Move & Explore is our response.
It increases access to outdoor exercise for families, particularly those facing financial or practical barriers, while giving children meaningful time outdoors through a forest school approach.
In collaboration with Sport England we are able to offer South-East London this unique outdoor opportunity.
