OUR IMPACT

DATA-DRIVEN SUPPORT FOR SOCIAL PRESCRIBING

At Gaia Wellbeing Collective, we measure the impact of all our programmes to ensure they deliver real, meaningful outcomes for participants and reliable evidence for our partners. For our Women’s Sharing Circles Pilot, we used established wellbeing evaluation methods, including:

  • The Warwick–Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMWBS) – a validated tool widely used across the NHS to track mental wellbeing.

  • The ONS-4 Wellbeing Measures – national indicators that assess life satisfaction, sense of purpose, happiness, and anxiety.

  • Qualitative feedback – open comments and participant reflections to capture lived experience alongside quantitative scores.

Over 8 weeks, participants showed clear and measurable improvements:

Emotional Clarity: +57.7%

Confidence in Decisions: +48.4%

Resilience: +41.9%

Feeling Relaxed: +41.4%

Happiness: +39.7%

Sense of Purpose: +39.4%

Community Connection: +39.4%

Life Satisfaction: +35.7%

Social Connection: +31.4%

Feeling Life is Worthwhile: +21.3%

Optimism: +15.4%

Anxiety: –29.3%

Participants also reported feeling more connected, less isolated, and better equipped to manage daily challenges.

We apply the same evidence-based approach to all our services, ensuring commissioners, GPs, and link workers can trust that referrals to Gaia are both safe and effective.
